This project was a residential solar power installation completed for Mr Tobilóba in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. The system was designed to give him steady electricity, reduce generator use, and protect his home appliances from power fluctuations. We installed six 550-watt solar panels, giving a total array capacity of 3.3 kilowatts. Energy conversion is handled by a 5kVA hybrid inverter with a usable output of 4 kilowatts. Power storage is provided by a 10kWh lithium battery, selected for long life and deep discharge performance.
This capacity comfortably powers Mr Tobilóba’s daily household needs, including lighting points throughout the house, ceiling and standing fans, televisions, a decoder, laptops, phone charging, a refrigerator, a freezer, a washing machine, and a 1 horsepower water pump, without strain. The system supports daytime loads directly from solar and provides reliable backup power at night.
The installation was planned around his lifestyle, ensuring quiet operation, clean energy, and predictable power availability. This setup gives Mr Tobilóba control over his electricity while lowering fuel costs and maintenance stress.
